In 2010 he was awarded first prize in the Sean O Riada Competition at the Cork Choral Festival for his With Heart And Soul And Voice (premiered by Chamber Choir Ireland), and has worked as a performer and conductor in Switzerland, France, Germany and the USA
He has arranged and performed music for The Young Offenders (2020), and sound design credits include Path Through the Dark (2019),
A Christmas Carol (2017), Brian Friel’s Making History (2007), John Murphy’s Smallone (2006), and Cónal Creedon’s Second City Trilogy (2005)
In 2014 he wrote, recorded and released an album of original songs entitled Let Down Those Old Defences, produces electronic music under the name New Paper Boy, is the founder of The Electronic Folk, a Cork-based music collective, and is one half of indie folk duo Missalettes. He has also sung with Chamber Choir Ireland, Zürich Sing Akademie, Christchurch Cathedral Dublin, Chant 1450, Ordo Virtutum, and has premiered Jennifer Walshe's pieces Ireland: A Dataset (2020), & The Worlding (2018), and Tom Lane's The Stalls (2019). He currently lives in Basel, Switzerland
